It's a bit intense watching my guys trade shots at point blank while standing admits a field of gas tanks, fortunately no stray shots set anything off. I got a crap salvage though, only one item on it survived. I had to move 2 of my 4 guys away after a while due to damage, but I managed to get the thing without losing anyone. That worked pretty well since that particular Mad Cat has crap for short range weapons.

Kept correcting positions to make sure nobody got too far from the thing (otherwise they'd get PPC'd and die) Attacked the legs of the thing with my mechs (1+3 on num. Had my 4 main mechs move to point blank range (and moved the Raven out of harms way) Takes a bit of practice, but I hit it with a small artillery strike (a large one can destroy it) Cleared out the extraction area of the last bad guy (the Mad Cat likes to wander over there) Here's what I did to capture the Mad Cat in Op1 Mission 3: (just about in that I guess you could hold down 1 and 3 on the numpad or something to do targeted leg shots, but even then, there's no guarantee) I actually used mostly PPC in all mechcommander and mechwarrior I played when I think about it.Well, you had to destroy it to win the mission (or maybe it was just destroy the hyperpulse generator), but whether or not it came up as salvagable was just about completely random. One salvo = one opposing mech down most of the times. I end up with putting PPC (or the Extended range ones) and LRMs on almost all my mechs, in the campain at the end it's a pure carnage when you have your pilots with the LRMs AND PPC speciality. games such as Microsoft's own MechCommander 2 and Age of Empires H.

And you get the big weapons a bit too quickly imo. J 17 25 19 Free Cash CD-ROM Variety of Ease Fun v VES x NO games. The 2nd one, I wish they did not give you the options of calling the repair truck, or limited it in number. Sure the quality is kinda "meh" nowadays but it still rocks ("I am not equipped with jumpjets Commander!" from the guy in the Raven always crack me up).Īnd the 1st was far from easy to finish, the beginning when you have only quite crappy mechs and weapons is pretty tough. The intro movie of Mechommander 1 is imo one of the best I have seen for any Strategy type of game. Yar, this game was pretty awesome and I also loved the video and briefing with real actors, that gives to the game a much better immersion (like what they do for the Command and Conquer also). Ok, wasnt sure about the p2p thinggy for free stuff
